Dan Aykroyd

Next week our anniversary. Next week is also the kick-off of the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival. Coincidence? I think not! These wine industry people are truly thoughtful. In the spring, Fielding Estate Winery had a special Sample & Shop event on my birthday and now, on our anniversary, a special luncheon. They really go to a lot of trouble just for me, don't they?
The tickets for the luncheon came last week. The guest speaker is none other than Dan Aykroyd!

I love Dan! I've been watching Saturday Night Live since the late 70's and The Blues Brothers is on my list of all-time favorite movies. So much so, that my dearly departed, late great Dalmatian was named Elwood.

Here's my Elwood. He's been gone about 10 years now and I still miss him terribly. Dogs should really live longer, don't you think?

I also really liked Driving Miss Daisy and My Girl. Jim is also a fan and one of his favorite movies is Ghostbusters.

Mr. Aykroyd has recently undertaken an investment venture in Niagara Cellars Inc. so he's a wino like us. Should be a fun time!

----------------------------------------------------------

I've hit the big time! I'm famous!

Wow! Two special events, just for you. They really know how to treat a girl right!

Have a terrific time. I can't wait to hear how Dan Aykroyd turns out.

Love your Dalmation, and yes, i think dogs should live longer, healthier lives for sure. It's so unfair that we only get to spend a short amount of time with them. Elwood looks elegant and sweet.

And i do love how the events are run to fit your world and celebrate you. Perfect!

I like Dan! Ghostbusters!! (don't get me started on my lifelong crush on Ray Parker Jr., who wrote and performed the title song to the soundtrack!!!)

Have fun on Wednesday (like i need to tell you that!) and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

The photo of Elwood is gorgeous. I stared at him for a long time when I saw that. Yes, they should live longer. :(

That is just too cool that your birthday and anniversary happen to be scheduled with these special events. Happy Anniversary. Dan Aykroyd is hilarious, lucky you! I didn’t even know he’s Canadian. You guys are everywhere.

Dogs should live forever, it’s just not fair. Elwood is beautiful.

I was just catching up on your posts. I’m so jealous you got to go the veggie food fest, sounds like so much fun. That tofu looks yummy, I have a problem with cooking anything in under an hour, I need more recipes that facilitate that.

Dan Aykroyd and a wine festival? Heaven eh?
all you need is a little hockey to top it all off

Pets need to live as long as their owners. it hurts too much once they're gone. Like a whole in your heart.
