Carrie, love your list!! New shoes or a puppy... that's a tough choice there for me as well. I love both so much! :o)

What did you/do you think of Las Vegas? I have been there about 4 times and I am decidedly not a fan of the Strip. It's like the antithesis of me there... There are some outlying areas near there, however, that are beautiful. I have relatives who live in the area and you would not believe how different it is than what people usually associate with the BRIGHT LIGHTS and NOISE and CIGARETTE SMOKE wherever you turn!

Vicki, I'm on my way.
KleoPatra, we went to Vegas with "the Strip" in mind and that's what we wanted to do. We went in November a few years ago and stayed at the Luxor. We walked for miles and miles, did a bit of gambling (Jim won about $650, Carrie, approx. $2.50), saw some shows, did some touristy things. MGM Grand wouldn't serve me alcohol, because I'd left my ID at the hotel. (I was 37 for crying out loud).
We did go around in some of the residential areas which looked very neat, clean and nice. We wanted to see what that part was like too. Niagara Falls in Canada, has a big touristy area with Clifton Hill and all kinds of cheesy "museums", Ripley's Believe It Or Not", the Casino, Planet Hollywood, stuff like that, but people who live there, don't go there. Like Vegas. Unless you're going to work, you stay away.
We'd go back to Las Vegas. We never did make it downtown or out into the desert much. We did fly over the Grand Canyon and it took my breath away. No photo or film clip would ever do it justice. Just amazing!
