Only In Canada, eh?

I got this in an e-mail from my sister. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's from a Toronto newspaper. Click the image to see larger.

--->I know the blurb under the photo says "mounted" but these police officers aren't "Mounties". That's a slang term for RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). These are Toronto city cops on horseback. Like they have in NYC. Mounties (RCMP) nowadays drive cars and only use horses for parades & ceremonial events. These are on-duty policemen and working horses.

I just imagine the girl working the drive thru. "Your order totals $2.95, please drive up." HA! Wouldn't that be a surprise when she opened the window to get their money?

LOL! I always thought mounties were kind of hot. You ever see them in action in your town?

Hey Shannon, my mom lives in a small town outside of Fredericton in New Brunswick. The only reason this town exists is because of the army base there. (That's men in uniforms too, but a whole other ballgame. We won't get into that today) Anyhooo, because the place she lives in doesn't have it's own police force, it's the "Mounties" that are the law enforement there. We see them around town like you'd see regular police.
Want something even better?? One of Jim's friends is an RCMP officer. He works at the Toronto airport, drug importing/trafficing mostly.
I did a quick post about Mounties before. There are photos. You might enjoy. Click here.

Oooh...depending on timing, could be pretty stinky for the person who takes the orders.
