My Treat (as told by Simon)

Mommy gave me a treat. It's like a cross between a Greenie and a Dentabone.

I can't have Dentabones because they have chicken in them and I'm allergic to chicken. Mommy found these for me. They're chicken-free and I love 'em!

Now if I like them this much, I bet Mommy & Daddy really like them too. This one is all mine, so I'm going to hide it for later. Where would be a good place?

Ahhh, yes! I'll hide it in my Leafs bed. Mommy and Daddy never lay in it, so it should be safe here.

Gotta dig in good. I hope no one is watching. I don't want anyone to know it's here.

Oh this is perfect. I can use my rope and the left over piece of my pink monkey's head and cover it up.

Oh yea! Great burying I must say. Even if that damn Collie came in here, he'd never find it. He'd better just stay on the 8th floor where he belongs, if he knows what's good for him.

I'll just lay on it for a while and pretend I'm resting. That way, if anyone saw me messing around in my bed, they'll think I was just getting it ready for sleepies. Am I clever or what? Gotta throw them off the trail.

OK, my treat is safely hidden away. Yea! Let's see now what Mommy and Daddy have for food. I know they'll share with me. I have them wrapped around my paw! Sweet!

Ohhhhh, so cute! My cats do that too, when I give them a treat, they have to take it far far away, drop it on the floor, then eat it, to show that "they got it for themselves" or something! I'm so glad Simon liked his treat!

Aww, lucky boy! I love how he runs and hides it. He must really think it's a great treat!

I wish I had one of those today for my Labrador! It's his birthday, and he's a whopping 11 years old now. If he had that treat, he'd still act like a puppy and try to hide it. Lol!

Cute post!

Haha what a cute dog.. and smart too! My dog hides his bones out in the woods, but for real. It makes me wonder why though.. he never actually eats them! He seriously just buries them!

Simon is so cute...I wish I had a dog, but we can't get one til we have a bigger place.

In response to your comment on my blog...you work at the LCBO? My aunt works at one here too! She's always dumping mini bottles on me!

He is so cute. Sam doesn't bother hiding anything. He does however assume that if he puts something on his bed that it is then his. (ie, my shoes, blankets, stuffed animals, broccoli, etc) He had a pet tomato for a few days (it had fallen on the floor during food prep and he treated it like a baby and wouldn't let us take it from him) and a pet dinner roll for even longer.

I was looking at these pics of Simon earlier before I left work and couldn't help smiling. It is about time I stopped by to comment. What a cutie!

BTW - Those bread look absolutely amazing. We don't have any great bakeries like that near me. There are a few in the city, but they don't sell breads that look as nice as that. When I get a real craving I usually bake my own.

Hi again! Just had to come back and say that your comment had me laughing just now. Broccoli on the floor! And chewed! LOL! That's too funny!

Simon hid the bone?!? I guess I've heard that dogs may do that, but since I don't have one, I've never seen it happen. That's so dang cute!!

He is adorable.. J always hides her bones too... it's hilarious. She also like to parade them around. At the beach the other day, she got a huge stick and pranced around in front of the seagulls.. it was hilarious.

Don't worry, Simon. Your secret is safe with us.

I love your dog. I wanted to get one that looks like yours but we ended up getting a huge lab for free. Of course we still love him to death though.
